Short Doc Festival Circuit

The 2024 short documentary featuring sound design by Tyler W made its way through the festival circuit.

It was a short doc on homelessness and the housing crisis in Montreal emphasizing that art and creativity is a shared medium used by every human.

This was a particularly challenging project. It tested my emotional and physical capacities in jarring ways. Building trust with unhoused people was a delicate process and I respected their identities by not showing their faces in this doc. I spent months interviewing social workers, artists, unhoused people and medical practitioners. I shelved this project for now.

What i realized in the process is that creativity not only helps those survive in crisis, it also becomes the tool used to activate and share a powerful message for those who are willing to listen and see. Art becomes the medium in which social justice, activism and resilience is communicated.
